A JFK expert claims one document was missing from the declassified files

According to an expert, one crucial document was missing from the declassified JFK files.

This week, Donald Trump partially fulfilled his promise to release 1,100 declassified files on John F. Kennedy’s assassination—though many still contained redactions.

Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, was the youngest ever elected, taking office at just 43 years old.

Kennedy’s presidency was tragically cut short when he was assassinated by a sniper in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.

Kennedy was famously riding in a convertible limousine with his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Kennedy, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally’s wife, Nellie, when he was shot.

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested after authorities claimed he fired three shots in 8.6 seconds from the Texas School Book Depository.

However, just two days before his trial, Oswald was shot and killed by nightclub owner Jack Ruby, who was allegedly connected to the mob, according to former mafia captain Michael Franzese on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

One JFK document is reportedly “missing” from the recently released files.

Since the assassination, conspiracy theorists have been eager for the CIA to declassify the documents, which are now accessible through the National Archives.

However, one crucial document was reportedly absent from the release, according to James Johnston, author of Murder, Inc.: The CIA under John F. Kennedy.

Johnston claims the missing file detailed the first private conversation between newly sworn-in President Lyndon Johnson and CIA Director John McCone.

Since Kennedy had famously attempted to use the CIA to assassinate Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, the release of this document could have potentially revealed links between the CIA and the mafia, Johnston suggests.

Speaking to USA Today, Johnston—who investigated the CIA in 1975—stated: “If it was going to embarrass the agency or tell a different story, they wouldn’t have turned them over to the National Archives in the first place. And if they were withholding them before, I’m guessing they would continue to withhold them.”

The National Archives and Records Administration, which oversees the documents, confirmed that some files remain sealed due to court orders or grand jury secrecy.

“In accordance with President Donald Trump’s directive of March 17, 2025, all records previously withheld for classification that are part of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection are released,” the National Archives stated.

“As the records continue to be digitized, they will be posted to this page.”

Was the Mafia Involved in JFK’s Assassination?

Former mafia captain Michael Franzese, previously of the infamous Colombo crime family, claims that the mob played a role in JFK’s death. He alleges that the CIA enlisted the mafia’s help in orchestrating the assassination

“I will take it to my grave. I know this for a fact, and this information will eventually come out—they came to us for help to assassinate John F. Kennedy,” Franzese told the Daily Star.

Franzese—who claims he made $8 million a week in the 1980s through illegal dealings—said the mafia’s influence was so strong that the government sought their assistance in an attempt to kill Fidel Castro.

“I heard my whole life from the right people that it was a mob hit,” he added.
